Dangerous Sayings

A common saying goes, that ignorance is bliss
But if that be true, then I ask you this
A danger not known, is danger none the less
Happy till it strikes, is it for the best?
Instead I say we use, what does not kill makes strong
And as you live in fear, I hope I was not wrong

We all got heroes, immortal in our minds
They can do no wrong, because they are sublime
Dreaming now and then, that once we could meet
Wishful thinking surely, but life would be complete
Then the dream comes true, basking in the glory
Heroes are just men, leaving me cold and sorry

Walking around, wearing a smile
Behaving so well, never hostile
Getting a mask, identity gone
Feeling so safe, no need to fawn
No filtered thoughts, feeling the glee
When nobody knows, behavior is free
