Ar’Dell: Epilogue

A poem about a character and events from my live role-playing days, it’s the last of three in a series.

But of the traitorous elves, only one persist
All of his allies, simply ceased to exist
Killed by demon hands, Ar’Dell escaped the killing
Now he steps lightly, of treachery he is not willing
Always on the run, dodging unseen blades
It’s the choice he made, going renegade

Stabbing in the back, Sheridan goes down
Almost silently, only the smallest of sounds
Ar’Dell and his allies, almost won this war
But Death he is content, he does not want more
Using human proxies, bringing back the dead
Sheridan is alive, trying to clear his head

A dark elf black of heart, like his brethren kin
But contrary to them, Ar’Dell he does know sin
Two things in his life, the Lord and then himself
Early he made sure, he would not end in hell
Serving greater powers, to protect his being
Serving magic itself, Elstranuz the all-seeing
